Leadership and Expertise
Under the guidance of our founder, Premakumar Fernando, a seasoned Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA), Cherry Academy stands out in the educational landscape. With over 50 years of extensive experience across both public and private sectors, Mr. Fernando has made significant contributions to the field of accountancy. Notably, he is a prizewinner at the Chartered Accountancy exams.
For the past 18 years, he has been providing online tuition for ACCA and CIMA, successfully nurturing over 500 qualified accountants, many of whom now hold prestigious positions as CEOs and CFOs in multinational companies worldwide. As a senior lecturer at Achievers Business School, he played a pivotal role in mentoring students to achieve outstanding results, including prize winners at ACCA and CIMA examinations.
Course Offerings
At Cherry Academy, we extend our offerings beyond CIMA and ACCA. We also provide specialized taxation courses that cover Sri Lankan Income Tax, VAT, and SSC, aimed at assisting SME entrepreneurs with effective tax and financial planning.
